The Science Behind the Technology: Magnetic forces attract and lift grime from surfaces by reducing the surface tension of water by 50%, even when diluted to as little as 1 to 3,250 parts of water. Most dirt and grime stick to and are attracted to surfaces because of some type of grease, static electricity or both.  The grime particles are encircled, held in suspension, and broken down by submicroscopic charged particles as they become separated from the surface to be cleaned.
